Licensing/deployment options for web hosts
There are several ways you can offer Soholaunch to your customers depending on what kind of role you want your sitebuilder offering to play in your hosting business. Here's the basics...
Paid Options
Level 1 – Your customers come to you to get advanced features
- You purchase a ProServer license from us for the server(s) you’ll be offering Soholaunch on
- You enable the Soholaunch installer option in your control panel
- Customer installs Soholaunch on his website
- You decide what happens next feature-wise. You could…
- Start them out in basic features-only and require a hosting plan upgrade to enable advanced features (e.g., “Upgrade to eCommerce plan and get Shopping Cart feature turned on).
- Do the same thing as option a. but give them a 15 day trial of the advanced features before prompting them to upgrade.
- Give them all the features by default (i.e., all of your customers get the full version with all the features)
Free Options
Level 2 – Just turn it on and let it rock
- You’re running a control panel on your servers that offers a Soholaunch installer (e.g., Helm , cPanel)
- You "turn on" the Soholaunch installer option within your control panel. Technical details vary by control panel --- sometimes (as with Helm) this involves installing a special module/package available from your control panel provider.
- Customer installs Soholaunch on his website
- Customer gets to use all the features free for 15 days
- 15 day free trial expires and product goes into basic features-only mode (advanced features disabled)
- Customer comes to us (Soholaunch.com) and buys a Single Website License
- Advanced features turn back on instantly and are enabled permanently for that customer’s domain
